A friend interested in writing for write4pesos wrote to ask me about swift codes and BIC codes because it is needed for her payment information. Wire transfer is write4pesos' payment method of choice for their Philippine writers.

A swift code or BIC code is a bank's unique identification tag when making international dealings. BIC stands for Bank Identifier Code. BIC/swift code distinguishes banks from one another and makes transactions faster, thus BIC is also called the swift code. You need it not only for write4pesos but for all other international bank transfers.
